Kings and Queens (School of Excellence), a project of Al-Shamim Enterprises, aims at improving the overall educational program, primarily at a junior school level. The school is launched with a sacred missionary vision, based on the true teachings of Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him). The idea has been conceived after seeing the imbalanced and almost directionless curriculum followed by our youth,
leading to the overall weak socio-cultural values. It is, therefore, a humble attempt and a serious effort taken up by Al-Shamim Enterprises, to revitalize and pursue the Islamic values in conjunction with the present day demands of our educational system. This led to a dire need, for the reorientation and development, of a syllabus aiming to meet the demands of our junior academic program. This will definitely serve the purpose of shaping the overall personality and character of our future leaders and ensuring success not in this life but the life hereafter as well. Kings and Queens School of excellence has thus exalted with a mission of promoting Arabic language as a compulsory foreign language in our early school years along with English language as a medium of instruction. Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) once said, "Love Arabic language because of three reasons: Firstly, this is my language. Secondly, this is the language of holy Quran and finally it will be the language of the people who will be blessed with heaven."(KanzulUmmal, ShubulImanlil-Bayhaqi). After this clear instruction, significance of Arabic language is out of question. Translation and explanation skills only help us in reading and understanding Quran-o-Hadith, yet more understanding of Arabic language bestows upon us more knowledge about both its conceptual and contextual meaning as well. We are, therefore, offering Arabic language from the grass root level to the young Muslims. Afterwards, it will be decided through standard observation and assessment program at class 3, that either the child should go for completion of his/her Nazra or Hifz of Quran-e-Pak. At a later stage, there will be an optional Ders-e-Hadith classes to our senior students from class 8 and onwards. So that by the time, a student completes his/her A-Levels, they are well aware of Islamic injunctions and contribute to the well-being of the society. We believe in fulfillment of our commitment and, therefore, plan to continue Cambridge International Exams of education for our senior students. The most valued and talented passed out, A-level students, will be offered undergraduate program to further chisel their skills. At the same time, they will be backed up with strong counseling in their international placements, so that they may emerge as potential leaders in their respective fields. As part of our policy, we strictly condemn any racial or religious differences and provide an equal opportunity for every one irrespective of class, creed, cast and sectarian disparities. My first introduction to the Montessori Schooling had a profound impact on me. In Montessori, students of different ages are totally involved in "their education" to a level, I had not seen before. They are busy seeking information, solving problems, and creatively and collaboratively working together on a project. And they are doing so in a very self-confident manner. They are secured in the fact that learning is fun and interesting. New challenges are mastered without the fear of failure but with the delight of discovery and mastery. I realized, it is the need of the hour, to contribute something to the most important asset of our country. I, therefore, decided to provide an environment for our future ambassadors where we can build and develop young people's spiritual, educational and social growth abilities. Kings and Queens is, therefore, established where we can focus on character, culture and a strong commitment to the noble cause of education. A kind of education that teaches the art of honorable and mission oriented living and not just how to earn. And such an environment is only possible with the help of true guides of the society. Kings and Queens Montessori is a unique institution of its own kind in a fast developing country like Pakistan. Our promise to ourselves is to create a generation equipped with values aligned with our religion. This institution, in this regard, not only offers a true Montessori education but at the same time fully engages in imparting basic Islamic norms and values to our true asset, the next generation. Besides, it also provides basic Arabic learning to the students from day one, as a foreign language. So, by the time, students reach class 3, they are in a position to communicate in two foreign languages, Arabic and English. Kings and Queens Montessori is a project of Al-Shamim Enterprises and affiliated with Pakistan Montessori Council, Islamabad. My personal reflection on Montessori education has opened my heart and spirit to the real meaning of being a teacher. I believe deeply in the value of teacher's work. I commend their dedication, commitment and love for children. In Kings and Queens Montessori, the teacher's role is multi-faceted: educator, performer, interior designer, parent advocate and leader. Our teachers grow in parallel with the children, as they help them develop in harmony with life.
