While the hardship of the pandemic continues, so does the need for support in poorer ethnic communities of Vietnam for girls.
This week I spoke to the Founder of the Children's Education Foundation
Linda Burn in Vietnam, as she spoke about the desperate need for support for a scholarship program they offer to give girls a chance.
Education is proven to be the best way to break the poverty cycle.
For a whole year's education support for all the things we take for granted, it costs as little as $200 US. Tax deductable in Australia.
Check out this 2 min, "chat" session I had with Linda as she gives some context to the hardship, and home life these girls have; the threat they live under with trafficking and the hope that education will give them a second chance at life.

Vietnam is really doing it tough at the moment. My heart is going out to everyone affected.
Hoi An I know is going into a strict lockdown at the moment with curfews similar to Saigon.
One day when it opens up you will want to visit I am sure.

3 things I have learned during the Pandemic:-
1) My mind can take me anywhere if I let it.
2) If I close my eyes and breathe deeply I can see colours, and imagine myself there in full 3D
3) If I plug into a travel podcast and allow the voices to tell me about the location. I can truly feel I am present and taking it all in.

" get to the market early before it gets too crowded, particularly if you're a photographer. This is key. You want to get to the market before it gets crowded and before the sun gets too high in the sky so that you can get some nice clean images, and have some nice light."
