I want to make life easier for new babies and their parents. I have passion, experience, and intuition for helping new babies and parents find a routine and structure that works for their family. This makes me great at what I do. I work with multiples as well as single babies. About me: I am 35 years old and have been a licensed vocational nurse for 8 years. I worked in Pediatric primary care for
about 3 years and have worked with children for over 10 years. My years working in pediatrics have given me a vast well of knowledge of infants, their needs, and how to meet them. It has also given me the experience and intuition to know when its time to make changes, how to implement a workable routine, and what to do when things are not going to plan. My years working with children have solidified my love of kids and especially babies. In my experience, babies over 3 months of age, thrive on consistency and routine. Based on this belief, I work closely with families to develop an individualized routine that reflects each family’s wants and needs. I also work closely with parents of newborns, 0-3 months of age, to help them get comfortable and confident with everything from basic care and soothing techniques to understanding your babies needs. How it works: I work with families on a one on one basis for about two weeks. First, I send the family a log to keep for a few days prior to our first meeting so that I can get an idea of how things are going. Next, I meet with the family and spend some time getting to know them, their needs and wants, and observing a typical day in their home. After the initial meeting and assessment, I present the family with a couple routine options (for babies over 3 months) and a personalized collection of tips and suggestions. We will then spend another day together going over the points that the family would like some guidance on. Typically, the family and I will meet two additional times in the two week period to do some one on one training (typically for newborns), or to implement a natural routine (for babies over 3 months). During this time, I am available to the family through phone, text, or email to answer any questions, give encouragement, follow up feedback, and offer support. Examples of what I can offer:
