This has been a journey of 126 years. As with most journeys it all comes down to opportunity meeting ability and just plain right place at the right time. In Wellingborough, England my grandfather Christopher Campkin was born on August 16, 1886. To this day there is a Campkin Road and Campkin Lane marking the presence of our family throughout time. Still standing is also a pub called the Spotted D
og that was founded by our ancestors. How marvelous to have tangible sites that link us to our genealogy. I bring the flavour of Britian to the tea house. There is a selection of 100+ loose leaf teas to match your mood from wake up breakfast teas, mid day fruit bursts or calming chamomile or lavender. I offer light lunches or hot and hearty meals. Children can select from their own tried and true favorites. For a quiet pause in the afternoon your cup of tea can be accompanied by a cream tea of scones, Devonshire Double Cream and choice of preserve or for a quick pick-me-up a sweet treat from my fresh baked cake and pastry goodies. It has been 26 years that I have lived in Brooklin. My children have been born and raised here. We had the extraordinary experience of joining a community of 1500 people that was small enough that you came to know almost everyone and almost everyone knew you yet there was so many opportunities through the church, school and community for friends and activities. Continuing the spirit of Brooklin and its community I welcome you to Campkin’s of Wellingborough Tea House. I offer a place for friends and family to come together and new friends to be found.
