The Origin of Equa Corporation goes back to the 1960’s when our founder and president, Joe Ciulla became a heavy equipment operator, welder and mechanic. Joe’s father was a Teamster for 38-ye
ars and as a boy, Joe would join his dad in his tractor-trailer on the road. After attending college for civil engineering, Joe started his own construction business in 1972 and became a major earthmoving, utilities and demolition contractor in northern New Jersey and New York. In addition, he provided heavy-hauling service and bought and sold heavy equipment and trucks. Joe built his business on a reputation for delivering the largest and most challenging jobs on time by bringing to bear a fleet of the biggest and most productive machines for the tasks. An entrepreneur always looking for new opportunities, Joe entered the business of selling and financing concrete pumps and Telebelts, where he applied his vast knowledge and experience. Today, he operates Equa Corporation and Concrete Pumps USA with the same high level of ethics and business acumen he has always demonstrated.
