Cultural Exchange enables people to live like a local; get to know the customs and family life, practice new languages, cook interesting food and learn skills while sharing your own culture. Volunteers (Cultural Exchangers) help in the home, on the land and in the community for 4-6 hours a day and hosts provide the food and accommodation. If you want to have hands on experience, learn and share wi

th others then Cultural Exchange might be for you. Helping each other through Cultural Exchange: Volunteers offer their time and physical input for Hosts knowledge, food and board. Volunteers bring fun and laughter and the Hosts give a real family cultural experience. The more you are willing to share the more you will get back from the Cultural Exchange experience.

It's that time of year again. Have you tried mushroom art? This is one I did last night. So simple. Just cut the stem off your mushroom or fungi and put it down on a piece of paper with a glass over it. Leave it overnight and in the morning you have art! 🎨🍄

Jungle villa on the land of an old organic fruit plantation in Tangkahan, Sumatra. Property is at the bank of the Buluh river, border of Gunung-Leuser-National-Park. River is great for swimming. Many wild animals around. National park administration and elephant station in walking distance.
Looking for independent travellers who would like to live here in exchange for some gardening and minor house repairs (just to keep the jungle from reclaiming the house).
