Street Renaming
Bach Street in Windhoek was renamed to Kuaima Riruako Street today. This is in honour of the late paramount chief of the Herero people, Kuaima Isaac Riruako who passed away in 2014.
The City Council all voted in favour of the name change and according to the Mayor of Windhoek, Muesee Kazapua, no resident of the capital city opposed the name change.
