Curious Creators

What do we do? Curious Creators offers fun and lively creative play sessions for children aged 6 months to 4 years. Expect messy play with some games, storytelling, possibly a little singing and maybe even a little boogie thrown in! What do we do differently? Well, as much as possible. For starters we enjoy messy play just as much as the children do! We value those eureka moments where your child

makes connections and their learning increases. The Curious Creators team is a bundle of positive energy! No two curious little creator’s sessions will be the same, and that’s why our birthday party services will always be bespoke and tailored to your requirements. We don’t just want the little ones to have fun! We want parents and carers to get something out of the sessions too and leave with new ideas on playing creatively with your child. Our sessions will regularly feature guest speakers and talent to share with you their skills and expertise. We are popping up across Brighton and Hove at exciting venues which reflect the diversity of our wonderful city to bring you stimulating sessions which we are hoping will fit in with the ever changing nap times of your precious little people. The Curious Creators team is made up of owner Ellie Talebian and close friends Cat and Jo. The team doesn’t just stop there though, the Curious Creators team has unique skills and contacts within the community, which we will regularly employ to make your child’s, experience a fantastic one. Our community connections cover everyone from talented local musicians, HypnoBirthing instructors for those of you with more on the way, puppeteers, graffiti artists, story tellers, parenting specialists, DJ’s, safeguarding specialists, chefs and bush craft leaders. We will be looking to our super talented contacts for inspiration and they will be coming along to Curious Creators sessions to enthuse and amuse! Birthday Parties
Fun is our number one priority! We believe in customer service and satisfaction and therefore offer a free, no-obligation consultation before you make up your mind. We’ll come and meet you and your little one for a coffee and some CAKE, to discuss your unique requirements and their play and musical tastes. Together we will plan a party perfect for your Curious Little Creator and their friends. We can handle any venue from small community venues to giant outdoor marquees and anything in-between. We are available for weddings and other special occasions to free up some time for you to enjoy the celebrations. So what now? Ellie:

Art and creativity has always been a huge part of my life. Having spent many an evening at my Dad’s silk screen printing workshop after school, I have never been far from a new creative project. One of 4 children, our creativity was always encouraged and nurtured. This ranged from designing our own clothes, to redecorating rooms at our house, sometimes without permission! My father has worked as an illustrator, animator and designer and my mother is masterful at renovating. Their passion to create a culture of creativity for us is something I am always grateful for. I have been working with children and young people in the Brighton and Hove community for over 10 years. From running theatre in education sessions, to working with children in schools on assertive techniques to prevent bullying, designing and implementing games to boost self-esteem, running Woodcraft Folk groups and working with the wonderful local children’s charity Safety Net in their training team. I have worked very closely with Safety Net’s Protective Behaviours Coordinator and their Safeguarding Manager and this experience has helped shape my knowledge around what it means to keep children and young people safe in the community. I am currently completing my Sociology and Social Policy degree and have focussed my studies on children and young people, at this time I am writing a dissertation centred on the work undertaken by Safety Net with my own safety focused spin on it! Together with Jo and Cat, having dedicated our careers to working with children and young people we have over 25 years of experience! Jo holds an art foundation qualification and is currently studying towards a degree in Psychology and Cat holds numerous childcare qualifications as well as being trained in makaton, SEN. We are all parents and have all worked in childcare settings across the city from everything between babysitting and teaching assistant roles. We believe that combined our skills make Curious Creators inclusive and able to cater for all of your little ones creative needs. Some of our training includes: Protective Behaviours, NVQ 2 and 3, SEN training, makaton training, Creating a Culture of Participation for Children and Young People, Positive Interventions Behaviour Training and Safeguarding and Child Protection Training.
