Birth Doula Services

I am a Birth Doula providing services to Grey and Bruce counties. During pregnancy, my role as a Doula is to help you prepare for the birth by working with you and your partner to create a birth plan, and provide education and resources to allow for informed decision making. During labour, my role as a Doula is caring for your physical and emotional well-being by using such comfort measures as; massage, and relaxation techniques, breathing guidance, positional support, verbal encouragement, and a caring hand. During, and after the birth I can help to preserve your memories by taking pictures, keeping record of important events, or moments during labour, writing a birth story, and later discussing the labour with you and your partner. During your postpartum period I can help with your transition into parenthood by supporting breastfeeding, providing a listening, caring ear, and words of experience and encouragement.
