Some photos from the last couple of visits, the last one in November 2021, it poured with rain, we were based at Satar which has been very dry, but it rained and rained and there were pools of water all over the place, the one of the Heron is a puddle of water with a platanna, Terry very upset because the day before I nearly went through the windscreen in an effort to avoid the platanna, and then he became breakfast the next day. Also ground hornbills in a tree which is unusual. Enjoy.

Spent four nights in the KNP this past week, the weather was really lousy which is most unusual, however we did see some special sights. Honey Badgers, secretary birds, a dehorned Rhino and her calf, (so pleased to see KNP dehorning Rhino), leopard with a kill and all the other animals except lion, which we heard but couldnt fine.

We had a short trip to the KNP at the beginning of July 2021, the weather was pretty cold and the best place to be was in the car. We saw everything except Rhino, sadly very few people are lucky enough to see them these days. Hopefully we will be able to curb the poaching before its too late.

We had some monkey antics around the camp, and lots of primate sightings.

Some of the better photos, the one sighting was of a fish eagle catching dinner, enjoy.

On Saturday the 27th March we visited the KNP for the day. Unfortunately, not such a happy visit. On the way into one of the camps we saw an extremely thin wild dog lying in the road on its own, it was obviously extremely sick or incredibly old and seemed to be on its last legs. On our way out of the camp a short while later it had gone. Then further on in our travels not far from the camp, we came across a decomposing burnt Rhino carcass that had had its horn cut off with a chainsaw. What a dreadful sight and so sad to think that the greed and stupid beliefs of us humans will be the demise of these majestic creatures, how SAD.
Despite this we did see a kill, not the usual one, a Bateleur that had killed what looked like a pigeon and was busy devouring it. What a beautiful bird it is. We saw 4 of the big five, I am sure soon to be the big 4 at the rate our Rhinos are being poached. But left there feeling incredibly upset and concerned about the future of the Rhino.

Herewith some photos of our last two visits to the Kruger park. You will notice a lot of water photos, this is to show those familiar with the Kruger the change in water levels since the recent rains. Some of these rivers I have never seen water in. Until these last rains elephant would dig for water in many of these rivers. There are not an awful lot of game photos, this because the grass is very long which makes spotting difficult.
