This unit is a separate “bachelor's style” unit with an en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet and hand wash basin) and can accommodate 2 people sharing a double bed.
PLEASE NOTE!
This unit is only available to rent separately during MID WEEK (Mondays- Fridays) Excluding Friday nights and School Holidays. Please Note – When we have guests staying at our Main House (P*k ‘n Wyntjie that is attached to the unit, the Hot Tub and backyard area is for (main house) use only.
We do charge an Extra fee of R200 to use the Hot Tub for the period that you are booked- Own wood. This is payable in cash on arrival – if Tub is available!

The kitchenette is fitted with a microwave, kettle, toaster, egg cooker, snackwich maker, electric frying pan , air fryer and a bar fridge. The unit has a separate secure sliding door entrance.
Small lap size dogs are welcome, please note that only the back yard of the main house is fenced and the area where you can park your car. Should you go out for the day dogs must be taken with or left in the fenced area. No dogs must be left unattended in the unit.
Should you wish to book the house for 8 people, and you wish to rent the extra unit for extra guests you are welcome to book both. If the unit is not required, the unit will not be accessible. Please arrange accordingly.

WOOD FIRED HOT TUB. - BRING OWN WOOD! We can however order you wood. Once booking is confirmed we can send you a pricelist.

Dawidskraal, picnic and fishing spot. On the east side of the Main beach visitors will find the David’s Kraal picnic area. David’s Kraal picnic area, a popular spot not only for the perfect picnic spot, but also an extraordinary and popular beach fishing spot.

Betty’s Bay and surrounds contain numerous archaeological evidence of early San and Khoekhoe activity dating back 100 000 years. During the VOC period in the Cape, around 1652, the company bartered with the indigenous Shaniqua herders in the region for cattle and sheep. Xanske's Place is a family-friendly self-catering holiday house just a hop, skip and jump from the main beach in Kleinmond and within walking distance to the main town. Kleinmond nestles on the banks of the lagoon at the mouth of the Botriver, on a narrow strip of land hugged on one side by the Kogelberg mountain range and caressed on the other by the Atlantic Ocean.

Kleinmond is within easy driving distance from Cape Town, along the scenic Clarence Drive known as the R44, and fondly called the Whale Coast Drive.

Xanske`s Place can accommodate up to eight guests and contains three bedrooms and a comfortable open-plan kitchen and lounge area with Smart TV with Netflix.

The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering and includes a microwave, stove, oven, fridge and dishwasher. There is also an indoor braai area for relaxed entertaining. There is a fenced-in garden with a lovely patio and boma braai. We are Pet Friendly.

The main bedroom at the far side of the house, dressed in old-worldly charm hosts a double bed with a spacious en suite bathroom/dressing room (shower. toilet and wash basin ) The second double bedroom is comfortably situated at the front of the house with easy access to the outside entertainment areas. The third bedroom contains 2 bunk beds in a comfortable space and is safely placed in the middle of the house. A second full bathroom leads off the indoor entertainment area to ensure everybody gets a chance.

An outside shower to wash off beach sand and a laundry room with a washing machine is available to sort out any other dirty little problems.

Visitors to Kleinmond have access to river rafting, hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. Safe swimming in lagoons and on the main beaches in season, walking, hiking, bird watching, exciting rocky tidal pools, fishing and a myriad of other activities in the surrounding area.
Hire canoes for an afternoon of fun on the lagoon. Visit the local golf course or Arabella Golf Estate. Several arts and craft gift shops in Harbour Road will ensure the shopaholic ample hours of delight. The Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and Stoney Point Penguin Reserve in Betty’s Bay is only 10 minutes drive away and a great way to support the protection of the environment!

Lying in the fertile fold where two kloofs meet, the Harold Porter Botanical garden is an absolute wonderland for nature-lovers. Forming part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, the garden has a rich diversity of fynbos, carefully curated to showcase different vegetation and climate regions. Beautifully tended grass walkways guide you along and pretty ponds make for perfect picnic spots.
There are also spectacular waterfalls rushing down both Disa and Luiperd's Kloof and during summer months, keep your eyes peeled for the delicate and rare red disa on mossy cliff faces.
The garden is open between 08:00 and 16:30 on weekdays and 08:00 and 17:00 on weekends.
