Hier kom die Bokke, hier kom die Bokke 🎶🎶

Ons het omtrent 'n besige naweek agter die rug, Beddy Backpackers en Toelie's was vol geboek. Daar was gebraai, bonfire gemaak, gelag, gesels, gees was gevang en oomblikke was gemaak. 🤟

Al ons gaste raak vriende, met meeste wat altyd weer kom gesig wys en saam kom kuier, sal ons Lombard's nooit weer 'n dol oomblik in die huis hê nie.

Die ander groep wat by Toelie's gebly het(ons ander selfsorg eenheid so 900m van Beddy Backpackers af), het ook lekker kom saam kuier in die aande 🇿🇦

Aangeheg is 'n lekker paar foto's met 'n lekker paar mense 🍻

Day 1 of 2022 Gouritz Trip deur Mouton van Zyl van MotoAdventureSA gereël.

Ons het vanoggend 11uur die pad aangepak na 'n plaas in die Karoo om die Steenkamp's te gaan kry. Nicky, Chantal, Dalene & Hesma pak toe die pad aan, met 'n pitstop by Gariepdam, 'n paar goedjies kry by die OK en so val ons dan weer terug in die pad.

Net so 200km later, staan ons dogter langs die pad en wag met kamera in die hand en musiek wat speel, "it's Friday then, Saturday, Sunday, what.” Oppad plaas toe ry ons so agter mekaar op die mooiste grondpad en so 5 minute later word ons gegroet deur die plaasies & 4 honde.

Vanaand sit ons voor 'n vuurtjie, reg vir die Kudu fillet. More pak ons 6 die pad aan na Mosselbaai tot en met ons die res van die groep ontmoet Vrydag by Buffelsjagsrivier.

Dit was die annual Men with Balls Rally wat elke jaar hier vanaf Bloem begin en eindig. Dis altyd in die middel van winter en dis 1000km in een dag 🥴

Die groep het omtrent 'n passie vir motorfiets ry! Hats off to you all 🥇🥇🥇

Kyk, ek d**k as daar nou een ding is van die Suid-Afrikaanse generasie, is dit dat ons die hele week uit sien na 'n Vrydag. Ons werk na 'n Vrydag toe, ons beplan ons hele week na 'n Vrydag en so lekker-VIBE hang ook om die woord Vrydag.

Vanoggend, het ons Vrydag begin met 'n paar KTM's watse engins vroeg oggend brul in ons garage. 'n Warm koppie koffie en 'n "sien jou Maandag", was ook deel van die Vrydag oggend roetine.

Die kick-stands is vroeg op geskop en manne is hier weg oppad na hulle volgende adventure.

Veilig ry julle, ons sien julle dan weer Maandag.

(Die keer is dit nie 'n Blou-Maandag wat vir ons wag nie)

People say: If you want to be happy for a day, then drink. If you want to be happy for a year, then get married. But if you want to be happy for the rest of your life, then get 'n motorcycle.

Needless to say, we've been busy since the clock hit 12' on New Year's Eve.

January and February flew by, and now we're in March. Time is flying and we're having FUN, let me take you on a ride through our January, February, and a bit of March.

We've hosted a few groups of people over the past few months, a wonderful family from Bergville who decided to stay with us for a night, we lit up the Bonfire, boiled the kettle, and enjoyed a night under the stars.

After the family left, we had the absolute privilege of receiving a booking through LekkerSlaap, from none other than Debbie, Glenice, and Tersia. They are the owners, editors, journalists, and photographers for Biker Lifestyle Magazine. They came to Bloemfontein to see what the bike lifestyle in the City of Roses is like. We decided to surprise them with a motorcycle convoy to their event that evening. We even got mentioned in their Magazine, how cool and exciting is that!! It was such an awesome time having two of the ladies here, who appreciate motorcycles just as much as we do. We can't wait to see you all again!

And, fast forward to this past weekend, did we have an incredible group of people who came to visit us on their way to Wilderness and when they went back home. They have their own version of a 'regmakertjie', and believe me, it works. Dis amper soos die sê-ding, "klam gras raak gou nat."

Owning a Biker Backpackers was probably the best and most rewarding decision we've ever made. Turning our home into everyone else's home has given us a new perspective of life and definitely restored our faith in humanity.

We can't wait for our next guests this weekend, and in the near future.
