Join us for an unforgettable 5-day adventure at the beautiful beaches of KwaZulu-Natal! Designed to inspire, educate, and entertain, this summer camp experience is the perfect mix of fun, learning, and exploration. With activities ranging from beach games to marine world excursions, participants will leave with incredible memories, new friendships, and a greater appreciation for the ocean and coastal environment.

Packages & Pricing

Option 1: Group of 35 (Including up to 3 Adults)
With Bus Transport: R4,850 per person
Without Bus Transport (Self-Drive): R3,600 per person
Note: For self-drive packages, the client is responsible for all transport during the program.

Option 2: Group of 55 (Including up to 5 Adults)
With Bus Transport: R3,980 per person

Each package includes:

4-night exclusive accommodation
12 well-balanced meals
Planned tours and activities
Professional facilitators and supervision
Transportation to and from camp (for packages including the bus)

Camp Schedule
Day 1
Arrive, Unpack & Relax

Settle into accommodations and enjoy some fun, interactive games at camp.
Campfire Gathering: Share stories and make friends around a cozy campfire to close the day.

Day 2
Moses Mabhida Stadium & Beach Day

Moses Mabhida Stadium: Take in the stunning views of Durban’s iconic stadium.
Beach Picnic and Supervised Swim: Picnic at the beach with swimming under the supervision of NSRI (National Sea Rescue) for a safe and fun water experience.

Day 3
WESSA Treasure Beach Program

Rocky Shore Exploration: Discover sea urchins, starfish, and other marine life with a unique hands-on learning experience along the rocky shores, fostering awareness and appreciation for ocean ecosystems.

Day 4
uShaka Marine World & Wet 'n Wild

uShaka Marine World: Enjoy thrilling slides, dolphin shows, and explore the aquarium with some of the most stunning marine creatures.

Day 5
Wrap-Up & Return Home

Pack belongings, reflect on the week’s adventures, and prepare for the journey home with new memories and friends.

Accommodation: Comfortable bunk-style lodging, with separate adult accommodations.
Meals: 12 nutritious meals, crafted to keep energy levels up and minds active.
Guided Tours & Activities: From beach games to WESSA’s Rocky Shore program, every day is packed with excitement and learning.
Safety & Supervision: Our staff and facilitators, alongside NSRI lifeguards, ensure all activities are conducted in a safe environment.
Transportation (optional): Bus transport available with select packages.

Essential Packing List
Backpack, comfortable shoes, extra shoes for wet areas, and slops (sandals)
Warm clothing for evenings and campfire
Swimwear, towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, and hat
Toiletries, torch, water bottle, notepad, and pencil
One set of old clothes for outdoor activities

Additional Information for Parents & Teachers
Safety First: Closed shoes are required for all outdoor activities; no knives, ci******es, or alcohol are allowed.
First Aid: Camps have basic first-aid kits, but clients are encouraged to bring additional supplies and any necessary medications, clearly marked.
Supervision & Support: Camp staff is experienced in handling logistics and overseeing activities, while adults and guardians are encouraged to engage for an enhanced experience.

Roles Available
Camp Tholo: Facilitate leadership camps, team-building activities, and environmental education programs in outdoor settings.

Tholo Tours: Host, supervise and manage educational tours to historical, cultural, and natural sites across South Africa.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

21 years or older
Matric (Grade 12)
500+ hours of relevant experience in camps, workshops, or tour leadership
Valid First Aid Certificate
Police Clearance Certificate
Contactable references

Added Advantages:

Driver’s license
Training in Environmental Education, Nature Conservation, Game Ranging, or Field Guiding
Successful Applicants Must:
Attend an interview
Participate in a trial camp/program to demonstrate skills and suitability.
