Getting ready for the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2023 which is tomorrow. The worlds largest and most beautiful timed cycle race. No idea why but I just have to keep on keeping on!!
I’ve been there, done that 21 times and finally I get to join Club 21 and wear the T shirt. Please look out for me on the road. Red bike, red helmet, red gloves and this stunning shirt. I should be in the Kom/ Noordhoek area at around 10,30/11am all being well. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Such a privilege to see this pregnant chacma baboon enjoying her surroundings and foraging for food in our village. Sadly she has for some reason separated from her troop. There is much controversy about baboons roaming through our suburbs. What do you think?

Just twenty minutes from Lorelei on the Beach is the iconic and the start of the epic Chappies hike. This is a spectacular route 584m up, with far reaching views to Kommetjie, Hout Bay and Fishoek. It’s quite a climb, 450m over a 3km ascent but worth every step. There is even a doggie spa at the top.

Always a good reason to get up early at Lorelei on the Beach, when you can start your day with a cycle down towards Cape Point and Scarborough. This morning was calm and Misty with thundering waves. So glad someone thought to tell us to watch out for ottters!! Never dull moment in The Deep South.
