Hi Wanda, hope you are coping with the Gorolla, oops Corona thing. Must say those were the best cars ever😁
Please take care off yourself, before you know this will be over.

Higest regards

Hi to all. It has been a good 4 months since we were active in doing the one thing we do well, attending to our Clients needs.

Tourism as we know came to a grinding halt, due to decisions we as operators can not change for now.

Several large operators and Bus companies closed their gates, were their proud fleet of Coaches and vehicles of which at one time roared out early to be punctual and eager to embrace their Clients. Therefore to give their Clientele the best experience, history, humour and warm genuine South African hospitality.

Friends and colleagues have passed away of which were not due to a Virus. They all were legends and an absolute asset towards Tourism.

As we all are connected in this broken chain of events, one just cannot understand why other Countries are open for Business.

On a positive note we have had good rains. Yet this mountains we must climb together are slippery and rather uncertain.

Perhaps the lowest ebb is the turn of the tide.

Warm greatings from South Africa.

Absolute best wishes to all the Clients and condolences to good friends we had lost.

High regards

Kobus Durand

On Route back from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. Convenient flight of an hour and 15 minutes. Overlooking Nature's Valley a great, short detour away from the noise of the N2 Highway. Having a great lunch at Kleinmond, after visiting Harold Porter Botanical Gardens. Perfect days with great Clients.

INTRODUCING KOBUS DURAND TOURS

Your German-speaking Cape Town & Garden Route Tour Guide

Born and raised on a cattle ranch close to the Botswana border in former South West Africa, Kobus learned bush-craft from the local Owambo tribe, gathered cattle on horseback and gained in-depth knowledge of the local tribe’s culture. After being educated at Bolland Agricultural School outside Cape Town, he returned to his roots in Namibia, where he worked on the family ranch guiding international clientele on game tours.

With his exceptional local knowledge and deep passion for his country and people, he found himself drawn more to introducing and educating his clients to his country and their surroundings than to the actual task of game ranging, thus his career as a tour guide began.

With his extensive experience within the Western and Eastern Cape, Kobus is a natural choice when choosing a tour guide. He has an easy manner with a wonderful sense of humour and is an absolute pleasure to spend a few days with on the road. He does not believe in a “one size fits all approach” therefore his tours can be adapted for all requirements.

Kobus says “I love my country and am proud of our people. My clients will leave with more knowledge of this beautiful country and her people as well as many stunning photographs and a lifetime’s worth of wonderful memories.”
