Once the home of Bernard and Sue Fontannaz, it now welcomes families from around the world seeking a secluded retreat to reconnect with loved ones and nature. Bernard, a Swiss-French winemaker, founded Origin Wines and owns Le Grand Domaine Wines nearby. Sue, a leadership coach focused on Biophilia, curates Wonderland Escapes, a collection of extraordinary villas worldwide.

This enchanting six-bedroom villa is surrounded by a five-acre garden, featuring a 1930s carousel at its heart. The Sir Herbert Baker-style home blends vintage charm with vibrant design, including bespoke wallpapers, antique furniture, and art. It’s that time of the year again where we kick off the start of summer and cherry season, with our annual trail run at Loxtonia Farm this November 2024.

So awesome to have seen The WORLD on South African shores.

The World is the largest private residential yacht and the only ship of its kind currently in operation, sailing a continuous itinerary across every ocean and continent. Aboard this truly unique Ship are amenities that exceed even the highest standards of luxury travel.

Resident owners of this private community at sea travel to more than a hundred ports a year. The ship’s arrival in Cape Town followed an expedition to Antarctica in January, and a two-week journey to South America. A trip to the Northern Cape Province would be incomplete without a detour to include the The Big Hole in Kimberley (previously known as the Kimberley Mine). What began as a flat-topped hill is today a gaping hole measuring 215 metres deep, with a surface area of 17 hectares and a perimeter of 1.6 kilometres.
