23/01/2025

With effect from 27 January 2025, all MyCiTi buses travelling from Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain to the Civic Centre station will operate via the M5 and N1 in order to avoid Hospital Bend.

• Route D01, D02, D03 and D04 buses will initially travel along the N2 but will divert at the M5 Black River Parkway off-ramp. Buses will exit the M5 at N1 FW De Klerk Boulevard and continue along Christiaan Barnard Street and Hertzog Boulevard before reaching the Civic Centre station.

• Passengers are urged to plan ahead and factor in extra time - the adjusted route will improve the commute for passengers but may result in longer journey times.

This change does not affect buses travelling in the opposite direction. Buses travelling from the Civic Centre station toward Khayelitsha and Mitchells Plain will continue on the route via the N2.
