Brač is a Croatian island known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich history. Here are some of the highlights of the island that are not to be missed:

1. Zlatni Rat Beach: One of the most famous beaches in Croatia, known for its unique shape that constantly changes depending on the direction and strength of the wind and sea currents. This is a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, water sports, and of course, amazing Instagram photos.

2. Cava Retreat: A place where you can immerse yourself in the true essence of Brač island, surrounded by breathtaking views of its northern side. We are immensely proud to present our Kindling ambassador Mestre Xuxo. Having travelled over 140 countries 🌎, this incredible artist serves as a living example of how far one can go if we leave behind the limitations imposed on us. This is his story:

Mestre Xuxo, also known as Xuxo Na Voz, was born in the Brazilian 🇧🇷 favela. There weren't many opportunities for kids born in his circumstances, but his father had a different plan for him. He started teaching him capoeira when he could barely walk and submitted him to a strict training regime.

Life was tough, but Xuxo and his father did not give up… When Xuxo was 17 years old, his exceptional movement skills 🤸‍♂️ helped him get the opportunity to go to Turkey as an entertainer, so he took the chance.

20 years later, he has travelled to over 140 countries, developed his own movement system and inspired thousands of people around the world.

But Xuxo's story is not over. After travelling the world for two decades, he has recently returned to Brazil and launched a second career as a musician 🎤.

Today, he continues to share his passion for movement and uses his voice to speak out about racism and inspire people to cross the visible and invisible boundaries that hold us back.

Did you know that several famous TV shows were filmed in Croatia 🇭🇷?

(1, 2) 📍 Dubrovnik - Game of Thrones / Star Wars: The Old Town of Dubrovnik served as the primary filming location for King's Landing in the popular TV show Game of Thrones. Many iconic scenes were filmed here, including the Walk of Shame and the Battle of Blackwater Bay ⚔. Dubrovnik's picturesque Old Town was also used to represent the casino city of Canto Bight in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017).

(3, 4) 📍 Split - Game of Thrones: The city of Split was used as the location for the city of Meereen in Game of Thrones. The scenes filmed in Split include the Meereen fighting pits and the palace of Daenerys Targaryen.

(5, 6) 📍 Trogir - Doctor Who: Two episodes of Doctor Who (S05E06 – ‘The Vampires of Venice’ and S05E10 – ‘Vincent and the Doctor’) were filmed in Trogir in November 2009 and broadcast in 2010. This series stars Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan as his assistant, Amy.

(7, 8) 📍 Vis - Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again: The island of Vis served as the filming location for the 2018 movie Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. The island was used to depict the fictional Greek island of Kalokairi, and many scenes were filmed in the town of Komiža.
