Immersed in the heart of the Okavango Delta at &Beyond Xaranna Lodge, a private island offering the best of both land and water-based adventures. 🌿 Sandibe Lodge: The Wild Heart of the Okavango 🐾

A few weeks ago I was fortunate to stay at Andbeyond’s Sandibe Lodge, and wow… this is truly where wildlife dreams come to life. In just two days, every single game drive was unforgettable. We saw cats on every drive, witnessed an incredible hunt by a pack of over 30 wild dogs (we followed them—it was pure adrenaline!), watched young lion cubs playing with their mother, spotted hyenas, giraffes, hippos, and so much more. And this was during low season! Imagine how amazing it is here all year round.

The lodge itself is absolutely stunning. In February 2025, Sandibe will undergo a major refurbishment, and from April 2025, it will reopen as a completely reimagined, next-level safari lodge. It’s located in one of the most wildlife-rich areas of the Okavango Delta—a true hotspot for incredible game viewing.

But what makes Sandibe really special are the people. The service is warm and personal, with handwritten notes from the staff, big smiles all around, and food that is fresh, delicious, and made with so much care.

If you’re planning your next safari, I can’t recommend Sandibe enough. This place is pure magic, and I can’t wait for you to experience it too!
