to an epic safari filled with golden light, dusty trails, and wildlife encounters that take your breath away 🐾📸

These powerful moments were captured on a previous David Rogers Photo Safari in South Luangwa, where guests were treated to some of the most dramatic scenes the bush has to offer. October marks the peak of the dry season — water is scarce, temperatures rise, and the predators thrive.

As buffalo, warthogs and other herbivores grow weary, lions, leopards, and wild dogs take the spotlight. The action is intense and unfiltered, the light is magical, and the photographic opportunities are endless.

This October, you’re invited to experience it for yourself. Join David Rogers, who has been leading photographic safaris for over 20 years, and learn how to capture the wild at its most captivating. With early starts to catch the best light and expert guidance every step of the way, this is your chance to elevate your photography and witness nature at its rawest and most beautiful.

Spaces are limited — are you ready to tell your own story through the lens?

Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania was made famous by Louis and Mary Leakey and is one of the most important palaentological sites in Africa revealing discoveries such as Homo Habilis (handy man) as well as the more robust Zinjanthropus Boisei dating back 1.75 million years. The museum is well worth a visit with excellent guided tours and ties in well with a Serengeti safari.

The 2025 Okavango Delta flood season is looking promising, after an extended period of drought. Heavy rain in the Angolan highlands that feeds the delta is setting the stage for a robust flood. We look forward to sharing this experience with all our guests this year!

Our guest returned from a safari in Tanzania, designed with with these and many more incredible images. We felt sure his images were from multiple safaris- not just one - as he seemed to beautifully capture a lifetime of unique sightings!

"Great choices and variety of camps, amount of time at each venue, staff, food (superb!) and guides, we were most impressed. The staff at each camp could not have been nicer or more fun with which to spend time. The Serengeti plains and memories of the plethora of animals seen will be forever in our minds!"

Do you know that the name Ngorongoro is derived from the ti**le of cow bells? The bell attached to the lead cow in a herd makes an echoing "ngor ngor" sound.

This world heritage site, which is the largest intact caldera in the world, is a must see for anyone doing the Tanzania Northern camps. The birding was amazing next to the lake and its quick to see lion, buffalo, elephant and rhino.

We loved Ngorongoro tented camp, being just 15 minute drive to the crater floor and the guides from were expert as always.

On our recent trip to Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp in Namibia, we were lucky enough to visit these incredible Welwitchia 'fields' growing in huge numbers on the harsh arid plains. These plants have only two leaves and carbon dating tells us that on average, pants are 500-600 years old, although some of the larger specimens are thought to be 2000 years old. Their estimated lifespan is 400 to 1500 years.

Ubuntu Migration Camp in the Serengeti, with our guide Elias produced cats aplenty. Wonderful to see a young leopard, but the relaxed male caracal standing out in the planes really took our breath away. .
