AT LAST our 4th apartment, the 4-sleeper Courtyard is all finished and looking so pretty! This apartment is on the ground floor, 50sqm of open plan awesomeness, with a king-bed, a full kitchen and a sleeper couch in the lounge. The final touches on its private courtyard/barbecue area are coming by the end of the week but I couldn’t resist sharing this love project! Autumn is by far my favourite time in Cape Town - I got married in April, and both my children are March babies. We took full advantage of the gorgeous Autumn weather and our beautiful city yesterday, and went up the mountain! Did you know SA citizens get a free ride up the Cable Car in their birthday month? So cool! Best of all, all that view is only a 30min drive away from - just across the bay in fact 😉

One of my favourite pieces of decor at Silver Sunsets is a handmade Africa bookshelf I fought like nothing to buy 🤣 it hangs between our upstairs apartments, in the communal braai area. It’s become a bit of an art installation with items from our house, items we have found in and around our apartments - some of these items are so funny! Each has a story, and I hope our guests will continue to Borrow, Give, Take or Share ❤️

Recently our wonderful UK guests Depti and Will visited Cape Town for the very first time, with their newest family member. A romantic Valentines Day surprise with some proudly South African treats awaited them ❤️❤️❤️

Welcome to Cape Town - kids’ paradise 😍 Silver Sunsets Self-Catering apartments are kid-friendly and we are close to plenty of awesome things to do - here is the world’s happiest preschooler enjoying Big Bay beach (only 10min away) - an awesome place for small people and big people (if they want to body-board, sup or learn to kite). Think gentler waves, warmer rock pools and plenty of space to build your own beach pool. Each apartment has a list of my kids’ fave things to do in Cape Town too 😉

It’s been a super duper windy season so far for all of our kite-boarding and wind-surfing guests - not only are we close to Kite Beach and Riet Vlei, Sunset Beach is an excellent wind-sport beach!

Our guests have really enjoyed our huge amount of sports-gear storage space and also how central we are for day trips to Misty Cliffs, Langebaan and other windy paradises around the Peninsula.
