The Vine Tribe is an online based infotainment series produced and presented by registered South African tourist guides, winemakers and sommeliers who specialize in the wine industry and tourism. Instead of being the victim, our The Vine Tribe team decided to get out there and discover and promot
e the wineries that many have never heard of. The Vine Tribe is passionate about promoting South African wineries of and the tourism industry dependent on the wine industry. It is our mission to become the quintessential multimedia wine library that offers a channel for all types of wineries to reach out and educate and entertain the local market of South Africa as well as the international market and enable our local businesses to do business by getting their wines and tours sold. Each of the “The Vine Tribe” episodes focuses on a specific boutique, small or middle range winery and its winemaker. We go behind the scenes with a camera crew and capture the location, the process, the products and the people involved in this specific winery. The purpose of a The Vine Tribe episode is to educate and entertain local and international viewers and introduce them to South African wines they may have never heard of. We have made it our mission to attract South Africans and international guests to the wineries, and give the audience an opportunity to order wine online from the winery’s own website. The Vine Tribe hosts competitions that depend on how attentive the audience is to our episodes. With our competitions, local viewers are rewarded for spending time on the episode by leaving a comment with the correct answer in the comment section and being eligible to win a weekend away at the accommodation the winery has available to the public. The Vine Tribe episodes are published on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram on a weekly basis on Tuesdays at 7pm. We encourage interactions from subscribers with rewards of different prizes every week.
