🚴‍♂️ Intern Catch-up 🚴‍♂️

We're checking in with Yongama to see how his internship journey is going so far. His highlight? A day in Cape Town shadowing our Discover Cape Town Inner City Bicycle Tour. The lead guide on duty’s ability to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for the guests taught Yongama an invaluable lesson: always be passionate about what you do.

Yongama has also learned some key things during his internship so far:
- Develop an enquiring mind and be open to learning something new each day.
- Be a storyteller and ensure that the bicycles are always in top condition for cycling.

We're pleased to see Yongama growing and embracing the adventure every step of the way!

Meet Intern Yongama

We're excited to introduce Yongama Booi, another one of our newest interns joining us for on-the-job tour guide training.

Yongama enjoys reading, playing street football, and is currently exploring opportunities in the tourism industry. With a passion for learning about the rich history of our winelands, he’s eager to build a future in tourism. 🌍

Yongama's background includes studying at Boland College, working as a waiter and volunteering at for Stellenbosch Tourism. His favourite advice? “Everything happens for a reason, never stop trying.”

When he's not working, Yongama loves spending quality time with his family and achieving his personal goals. Welcome, Yongama!

Meet Intern Kyle

As we kick off our 2024 intern training program, we're excited to introduce you to the interns joining us for on-the-job tour guide training.

Kyle loves exploring the outdoors - whether hiking, cycling, or hitting the gym. With a passion for South Africa’s rich history and a keen interest in tourism, he’s thrilled to start his journey with us. 🌍

Kyle has a background in professional soccer with Stellenbosch FC and Steenberg United, and he currently plays for Maties FC. His favourite advice? “Everyone you meet is a teacher, everywhere you go is a classroom.”

When he’s not working, Kyle enjoys spending quality time with his family. Welcome, Kyle!

We are thrilled to share Sisipho's progress within our team! Starting as an intern, she moved up to become a junior guide and has now taken on a new role in our reservations team. Although it was a big change from being outdoors and active while assisting on our bicycle tours, Sisipho has embraced the office environment and really enjoys it.

We couldn't be prouder of Sisipho’s progress. She is still undergoing training, but we are excited to see her continue to grow and succeed in her new position.
