In Botswana, a grand adventure unfolds as countless zebras set off on Africa's longest zebra migration. From May to November, they gather in the lush northern wetlands, which have plenty of abundance on offer. But as the rains begin to fall in late November, our striped heroes journey south through the vast Kalahari, reaching the green Makgadikgadi Salt Pans by January.
Eager travelers can witness this natural spectacle up north from May to November, or marvel at the zebras in the salt pans from January to March. By April, our striped friends return home, just as the dry season begins its reign.

As the sun rises over the Serengeti, more than 1.5 million wildebeest embark on a perilous journey in search of food and water, all while trying to evade the jaws of predators lurking in the shadows, their eyes gleaming with hunger.
Though swift on land, wildebeest slow down at river crossings, where perfectly camouflaged crocodiles seize their chance to strike. Those fortunate enough to reach the opposite bank face new dangers – lions and cheetahs lying in wait, ready to pounce. Meanwhile, opportunistic hyenas target the weakest, often preying on vulnerable young calves.
The Great Migration is a relentless battle for survival – for both the wildebeest and their predators.

East Africa's coastlines come alive during turtle nesting season! These ancient reptiles embark on an incredible journey to continue their species' legacy as they return to the same beaches where they were born to lay their eggs.
Nesting typically occurs at night, with females digging deep holes in the sand to lay up to 100 eggs at a time. The nest is covered and camouflaged to protect the eggs from predators. The eggs usually hatch in 6 to 7 weeks. The hatchlings must make their own harrowing journey from the shore to the sea, avoiding predators such as birds and crabs or dehydration if they don’t make it to the water in time.

Hermanus is a little town in South Africa that has been recognized as one of the 12 best whale-watching destinations in the world by the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Every year between the months of July and November, Southern Right Whales gather in this quiet coastal town to give birth and mate.
The whales can easily be spotted from land as they swim as close as 5 meters from the shore. If you’d like a front-row seat, many boats sail out to sea to get as close as possible.

Did you know that the African Wild Dog is one of the continent’s rarest animal sightings? These patchy-coated canines are speed demons, sprinting up to 44mph with an 80% success rate when hunting.
Family is very important to them as they’re one of the few mammals that care for the old and sick members of the pack. In fact, they would rather sacrifice their own hunger to ensure that the pups and weak members are fed first.
Unfortunately, they are also known as one of the world's most endangered mammals due to habitat loss, viral diseases, and human interference.
Let’s spread awareness and honor these loyal creatures on #WorldAfricanWildDogDay!

Celebrate World Honey Bee Day! Did you know that these tiny buzzing insects play a huge role in our daily lives?
Part of the world’s food production depends on honey bees as they pollinate plants and flowers which help fruits and vegetables grow. They are the only animals in the world capable of producing honey which we humans use for many health benefits.
Sadly, honey bees have begun disappearing and no one knows why. We are therefore encouraged to plant flowers rich in nectar (such as lavender and bluebells) in our gardens to help honey bees find food. Only use organic pesticides on your plants that are not harmful to bees. It is also wise to buy locally-made honey to support bees and beekeepers native to your region. Let’s do it for the bees!
