Boulder's Beach, Cape Town is world-renowned for its beautiful white, powdery beaches. This one is no exception. Thanks to the many boulders, the area is also well-protected from wind and big waves making this the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a day in the sun.

Of course, what really makes this beach so popular, is the 3000 plus VIP guests that live here. The African Penguins took up residence somewhere in the '80s, and haven't left since. Watch from your towel as they waddle around, dive and swim.

Game viewing in the dry season is difficult to beat anywhere else in Botswana, as the Linyati Marshes remain as one of the only permanent sources of water when the rains dry up.

Wildlife flocks to waters of the Linyati and birding remains good all year round.

We think Linyanti Bush Camp will be well suited to safari enthusiasts looking for an authentic tented camp that places emphasis on the activities. Intimate and understated, it offers a wonderfully homely base to see the game of the Chobe Enclave.

The main camp area is raised off the ground on wooden decking and features comfortable sitting areas, a bar, a dining area and a viewing deck.

Activities from the camp include day and night game drives, walking safaris, birding safaris, fishing safaris and mokoro canoe trips when water levels permit. 30 minute helicopter rides are also offered between April and November.

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve remains one of the ultimate remote safari destinations in Africa. It covers a huge tract of wilderness, most of which is hardly accessible.

Since this area was only relatively recently opened to the public, Central Kalahari Game Reserve accommodation options are still quite limited, which is a good thing in its own way.

Accommodation options mostly consist of private lodges, but there are a few worthwhile options in the Central Kalahari area: Kalahari Plains Camp, Dinaka, and Tau Pan Camp are all worth a look.
