๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ฒ: As a dispatcher, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of goods and resources to meet customer demands and trip schedules. Your primary focus will be on coordinating transportation routes, communicating with drivers, and resolving any issues that may arise during the transportation process.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ:
1. Action of Route Planning: Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficient use of resources, minimize transportation costs, and meet trip deadlines.
2. Driver Assignment: Ensure that drivers and vehicle assignments are monitored, adhered to and actioned, while always considering driver availability, vehicle capacity, and customer requirements.
3. Communication: Maintain constant communication with drivers, providing them with route instructions, updates, and addressing any issues or delays. Ensure drivers have the necessary documentation and equipment for their trips.
4. Monitoring: Use tracking software and GPS systems to monitor the real-time progress of trips and drivers. Address any deviations from planned routes or schedules promptly.
5. Problem Resolution: Act as a point of contact for drivers and customers in case of issues such as breakdowns, traffic delays, or trip discrepancies. Develop solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trips and driver logs. Prepare and process trip documents, slips and other paperwork as required.
7. Compliance: Ensure that all transportation operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including safety standards and environmental regulations.
8. Customer Service: Interact with customers to provide updates on trip status, answer inquiries, and address concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
9. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels at various locations to support efficient order fulfilment (example: cleaning material, tools, mics, etc.).
10. Internal department communication: Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
11. Mechanical experience: Provide basic mechanical assistance on coaches as and when needed.

โข High school diploma or equivalent.
โข Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatching is preferred.
โข Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
โข Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
โข Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
โข Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
โข Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
โข Mechanical experience with coaches โ non-negotiable.
โข Code 14 with valid PDP and coach driving experience โ non-negotiable.

With a fleet of 48 coaches ranging from brands like Mercedes, Volvo, MAN and Scania, we offer a wide range of semi โ luxury and luxury transport.
The past and current success of ElJoSa are defined by Industry expertise, customer focus and innovative drive. Our customers, our suppliers, our staff and particularly the people we transport are the lifeblood of our business. We set out to make the focus on people, the core of our business.
We are working with Road Safety of SA, South African Road Transport Agency and the Cross Border Road Transport Agency for licenses and permits. Our coaches undergo COF inspection every 6 months and are serviced according to the supplier records. Maintenance is done with Mercedes Benz, MAN, Volvo and Scania.
Safety checks are done before each trip.
All coaches have safety belts and drivers undergo coach training with every new bus.
The drivers use a GPS system on every trip.
ElJoSa has a backup service throughout SA.
A security and control feature Geotab, a satellite tracking device, has been installed on all vehicles in our fleet.
