Open Call for Un-Curated

Dear Members of Art.b

We trust this message finds you in good health and spirits. Art.b is thrilled to share important details regarding our upcoming open art event titled, Un-Curated. Bringing with it festive spirit to all.

It is scheduled from Saturday, 7 December 2024 to mid-January 2025. This event is not only an opportunity for our talented members to showcase artworks but also serves as a means to raise funds to cover operational expenses for the holiday seasons.

Open Call for [Un-Curated]:
• Each artist is invited to secure 1 m(W) x 1,5m(H) of exhibition space in the gallery for a fee of R300.
• We aim to accommodate approximately 40 visual artists and 5 ceramic artists on a first-come, first-served basis. Your name will be added once you have paid.
• A 15% commission will be applied to any artwork sold, and artists are welcome to replace a sold piece during the exhibition.

Preparations for Un-Curated:
• Once the application period has concluded, artists will receive notifications outlining the participation procedure.
• Installation of the artworks will take place on last week of November 2024 (Date To Be Confirm) with the grand opening scheduled for December 7.
• Participating artists will receive labels for their work, and our dedicated members will be present to provide support during the opening day.

Event Schedule:
• The exhibition will open at 9:00 AM and conclude at 1:00 PM.
• An exciting raffle is planned, offering tickets at R50 for donated artworks/prizes.
• Live music will be featured at the venue.

Successful joint patrol between the Sea, Air, Mountain special operations rangers, and K9, together with the City Law Enforcement Tourism Unit, at Poyser Road and surrounds.

Two suspects were caught with weapons, and a third was found with multiple outfits. The suspects were profiled by City LE and found with criminal records.
