It does not discriminate. Not age. Not health. Not status. Not wealth. None can escape it. And it can come suddenly.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Zakkie Ohlsson. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and children during this difficult time.

Not just our Fleet Manager and longest-standing employee since 2013, Zakkie was a firm believer in our mission, and stuck with us through all our highs and most challenging lows. He contributed significantly to Eyona's journey, and was a valued member of our team loved by all.

Incredibly talented and hard working, with his kind nature he was always willing to help where he could, and did so with an infectuous smile and laugh that we'll always remember. A husband, a father, a family man dedicated to his loved ones. His impact on all who knew him leaves a void that can never be filled.

May Zakkie's memory forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to us, and may he be granted the highest place in Jannah, Ameen💔🤲🏻

Over 20 years ago Eyona was founded transporting school kids in a single hatchback VW Citi Golf. And not just any Citi Golf, the multi-coloured, duck taped windows, skorokoro type, revered throughout the Cape Flats at the time 😅. After decades of hard work and sheer determination, we're now trusted by numerous hotels, call centres, and major brands.

Every day we're blessed we get to do what we do best: help solve the problem of transportation in our city. And we're grateful to all our clients who have supported us throughout the years 🤝💙.
