With these gorgeous photos taken by , reminded us on to feast our eyes on the next generation of Kalahari black-maned lions.

These big cats with their piercing golden eyes embody the raw, untamed beauty of the Kalahari and are a powerful reminder of nature’s resilience.

As the largest privately protected area in South Africa, Tswalu serves as an important conservation space for future generations of black-maned lions, a subspecies that is perfectly adapted to the extreme conditions of the semi-arid Kalahari ecosystem.

Spot of the Week - Paris Match

It may not be Versailles, Place de la Concorde or Esplanade des Invalides but Naboisho, Olare and Mara North conservancies are fair substitutes.

These animals pull Olympic poses almost every day with impressive grace and athleticism.

They may not cover all the disciplines (air rifle, skateboarding, and basketball proved a challenge). However, you don’t have to wait four years for them.

Tongue in cheek, yes and these competitors are unlikely to feel any podium love but the game commences every day in our four Conservancies.

Today is and we would like to take the opportunity to bring attention to the Cultural Activites on Safari.

It’s the age-old question: how do you experience cultural activities on an African safari? How to do it in a way that delivers genuine, non-intrusive cultural experiences without resorting to stereotype? Or indeed exploitation?

Find out more in our blog and we hope that you will enjoy the read: https://www.safari-online.com/cultural-activities-on-safari/

Kenya is, after all, where safari travel began. Blessed with abundant wildlife, the country is home to parks and reserves of dazzling diversity. Away from the rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara, Kenya is a land of soaring mountains, flamingo-covered lakes and lush forests. There’s Big 5 game viewing, palm-fringed Indian Ocean beaches and hideaway tropical islands, making Kenya the perfect safari and beach destination.
