I had to write a personal branding script for a class at college and me being, well, me decided to write my story in the form of a short story about a baobab tree. Have you ever tried yoga? Lately, I have been on a "get fit" buzz because you know, I'm all about that fitness lifestyle (feel the sarcasm through the internet). One thing that everyone has suggested to me is yoga. YOGA. Okay, so yes I can see the benefits of yoga on everyone else around me, I can see how toned they have become, they seem more relaxed -although they could secretly be drinking more wine when I'm not looking, and who am I to judge if you want a glass of that vino?- not only that, yoga seems to have turned people in my life who couldn't even sit up without tripping into the graceful ballerinas that prance around. Hello!

I just wanted to inform you amazing people of a few changes to The Travel Gal.

I know I started this blog as a travel blog, but as I have found out, as a student it is extremely difficult to travel all the time due to the fact that I am permanently poor.

So I have added two new sections to The Travel Gal Blog, a lifestyle and creative writing section!

Hermanus has such unbelievable views. Being a Cape Town girl I am use to extraordinary ocean views yet I still get chills when I see what Hermanus has to offer. The excitement is building in the crisp air this week in preparation for the Hermanus Whale Festival. More to come soon! 💖

The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town can be considered the Heart of Cape Town, well I'm not sure if it is officially, but in my opinion, it is so for the purpose of this blog post the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront (or the V&A) is the Heart of Cape Town. This steam train to Stellenbosch is an absolute must do! It is such a great outing for the family, the kids will love it, while the adults take a break from adulting by having a glass of wine on board a rustic steam train.

As the train departs from Cape Town, all the way to Stellenbosch, train-goers experience a unique and interesting view of the tired old route to the Western Cape's best wine region.

Plus, it doesnt hurt that you feel like you are off on an adventure at Hogworts 😉

The V&A Waterfront is definitely one of my favorite places in Cape Town, with good reason. Just have a look for yourself to see all that it has to offer.
