Our Story
Originally from PE, Stacy moved to Cape Town as a child, attending Grove Primary and graduating from Herzlia in 1992. After a gap year spent working, she studied Graphic Design, Advertising Art and marketing at AAA School of advertising. In 1995 she followed her passion for travel and moved to the UK on a working holiday visa, touring the majority of Europe with friends’ bands. She returned to SA in mid 1997, working in sales of investment software, and sourcing investors for a venture capital business, all the while making time to again follow her passion for travel by travelling both around South Africa as well as further afield in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Her break into travel consultancy came when Pentravel were advertising for consultants who either had travel and tourism qualifications OR had personally travelled quite extensively as she had, beginning her career in Travel. Stacy worked her way up from Junior consultant, to intermediate, and then SENIOR travel advisor in a third of the usual time, showing her affinity and passion for her career. During this time she married and had their first son. Finding the shopping mall hours (weekends, nights, doubles) too much of a challenge as a full time working new mom she resigned and took up a Mon to Fri, office hours position at SURE Travkor until the company closed down. After a few months with Harvey World Travel, in 2009, she took a leap of faith and started her own independent travel consultancy business. Since 2009, she has built a solid client base with almost all of her clients from the early days, still booking with her, Part of the success of her one woman show, as Stacy says, is to build up and maintain strong business relationships, as well as friendships, and to ALWAYS go the extra mile
