I started Thandeka Africa in 1994, in that exciting moment when our democracy was born and Nelson Mandela became our president. I have developed longstanding relationships with my clients and as they see the continent through my eyes, I re-discover it afresh through theirs. I put together once-in-a-lifetime trips that are custom-designed, that have included romantic honeymooners in exclusive game
lodges, hippies in campervans and guest lodges, over the top 13 year old Barmitzvah boys flying mirage jets, American girl soccer players doing community work, and my favorite, a a bunch of wild 50 year old women rediscovering life, love and passion in Africa. I like to think of tourism as an insight into the diversity of ways of living and being.
