According to the Gospel of Luke, Nazareth was the home village of Mary as well as the site of the Annunciation (when the angel Gabriel informed Mary that she would give birth to Jesus). Nazareth, historic city of Lower Galilee, in northern Israel. In the New Testament Nazareth is associated with Jesus as his boyhood home, and in its synagogue he preached the sermon that led to his rejection by his fellow townsmen.

Laodicea: A key city for trade and Christianity in ancient times, but was ruined by earthquakes and abandoned. The church of Laodicea was the complete opposite: a wealthy community, but spiritually they were lukewarm. Spiritually they were poor, but spiritually comfortable just the way they were. I believe Laodicea is the only church of the seven churches that did not receive a positive word of some kind from the Lord.

For the poor in spirit, “theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Those who mourn “shall be comforted.” The gentle “shall inherit the earth.” Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness “shall be satisfied.” The merciful “shall receive mercy.” The pure in heart “shall see God.” The peacemakers “shall be called sons of God.” These Beatitudes are taught by Jesus as the foundations for a life of authentic Christian discipleship and the attainment of ultimate happiness.

On our Med cruise we dock in Cannes France. Famous for the Cannes Film Festival that happens there every year. One of the biggest attractions is the mini “Hollywood Walk of Fame” that has handprints of all the celebrities that have visited for the festival. But there is also great food, beautiful beaches, and amazing shopping in Cannes as well.
Walk the streets of Cannes with us and explore the old town, there will be enough free time to do some shopping or indulge in good food.
