Golden Gate 2022 Challenge.
The Golden Gate Challenge is a 3-day stage event which allows participants to traverse approximately 70km through some of the most iconic scenery in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park.
This event features wildlife like zebra, wildebeest, San rock paintings, and a vulture restaurant where you get to see vultures eating carcasses in an open field.

Exhibitors and performers will not only be from the art-renowned town of Clarens but from all the corners of South Africa. The exhibition will boast a magnificent repertoire of art; from paintings to fine-art photography; from bronze to ceramics. Take the opportunity to invest in the carefully curated art hung in the gardens at Art & Wine this October.

To encapsulate the immersive experience which identifies The Aesthete, a fabulous array of art to artisanal workshops are planned throughout the event. We appeal to all nature enthusiasts to purchase their Permits before exploring the Clarens Nature Reserve. There are two options: A permit valid for 7 days priced at R30 per adult and R15 per child (scholar) or an annual membership priced at R360 for a family of 4 valid for the year of issue.
