Set in the beautiful Creighton Valley, flanked by dairy farms in Harry Gwala District Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal South Africa, 35km northwest of Ixopo.

Laid out in 1865, It was named after Lady McCullum, wife of Sir Henry McCullum -Governor of Natal. Gail & Malcolm Gemmel founded the guesthouse in 2000. Malcolm is an accredited tourist guide who has over 30 years of birding experience in the area and has developed an intimate knowledge of the local bird population, as well as roosts, feeding areas, and activities. (And sometimes nest sites.) He

has located several Blue Swallow breeding sites in the district and provides tours to these and other localities. Book your Dinner, Bed & Breakfast, or book a company lunch prepared by the beloved Florrie (the Guesthouse's very own chef). Self Catering Garden Cottage and Rooms are also offered to our travelers.
