This easter ERF1 got its first beehive.

After 3 years of watching the many bees in the garden pollinating the herb garden and the variety of flowers on the plot, it was time to place a hive at the bottom of the garden as the bees not only use ERF1 but the veld, stream and mountains on the outskirts of town.

The positioning was carefully thought out as the hive needed some shade and the flight path of the bees needed to come from the north and east as to not interfere with guests enjoying time on the patio on the south west side of the property.

Hopefully the beehive will be colonized in the coming months!
