So Dullstroom is not all play! Karen’s Cottage offers complementary uncapped WiFi 💻 and a dedicated work area … with a sunny verandah for a lunch break and awesome restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

When copper theft left Dullstroom without electricity and the cellphone tower batteries faded but online education had to go on... My 'office' for the day - with power, wifi and the best breakfast menu and cappuccino!

Thank you Pickles and Things for turning an upside-down day back on its feet!

It's a cold weekend in Dullies, and chilly right around SA too! So snuggle up this weekend with Chef Lana's famous Gluhwein! Pop in today and you might find a yummy taster of Gluhwein waiting for you, and you can also buy some amazing wines to make your own mulled wine at home!

Chef Lana’s Famous Gluhwein
Servings: 2-4

Ingredients
1 Bottle Dry Red Wine (750ml)
1 Orange, cut into slices
8-10 Whole Cloves
2-3 Cinnamon Sticks
¼ Cup of Sugar

Method
Add all your ingredients to a medium-sized pot
Heat the mixture gently, being careful not to allow it to boil
Stir occasionally to ensure that the sugar dissolves
Simmer extremely gently for approximately 15 minutes
Pour the mixture through a sieve or tea strainer into another pot, bowl or jug
Taste, you might want to add sugar or honey to taste
Serve in mugs or heatproof glasses, preferably with a handle
Garnish with a fresh slice of orange and a cinnamon stick
