Came across this beautiful Lioness lazing in a Sausage tree, and a lost Thompsons Gazelle came trotting in under the tree. The Lioness woke up to late but at least we got to see her sit up, come down and pay some interest. Never a dull moment on safari. Got To Love Africa

And we have lift off. Balloon trips over the Serengeti are magical. Worth the early wakeup on any day of the week.

Today, I lost a friend of 25 years, a mentor and a all round great man. Many of you will have met Pat over the years as he did many of our Battlefield and Zulu Culture tours for us. He was in many ways, an important part of my business and my life. He taught me how to absail, he taught me so much about the various battlefields and he was our Old Bill at our MOTHS club but that was just a title, as he will always be our Sargent Major. He called a spade a spade no matter how much it offened you, and for that and so many other reasons, I will miss my friend.

I am sure he is happy to have his leg back and is noboubt ordering St Peter around up there. To his family, my condolences, love, and prayers.

We will remember him. Rest now Pat, Until we meet again. Our Diamond in the rough.

Ngorongoro Crater is one of those iconic wildlife spots that just never disappoints. This cell phone Pic of a majestic elephant is only enhanced by the landscape of the crater. I thought I had captured a helicopter over the elephant but was surprised when I zoomed in. Got to Love Africa.

In the Serengeti, we experienced very heavy rains, which caused a small lake to overflow into the road. This Hammerkop got himself a nice catfish, which took a while to swallow. Never a dull moment while of safari. Got to Love Africa

Today, we had our picnic lunch in the middle of the great migration. In any direction you looked there where Wildebeest as far as you could see into the horizon. They moved off kindly to give us a space for our blankets (about 100m). All picnics will be measured against this one forever after. Got to Love Africa
