Hello everyone

Just a friendly reminder about transfers to the ship!

DO NOT TAKE EHAILER TAXIS LIKE UBER!
Last season a family who had shuttle tickets was convinced to travel with an Uber who was impersonating us and halfway to town they stopped on the side of the highway where the driver told them to pay him R5000 or get out and lose their bags! (They paid and the matter was reported to SAPS)

These forms of public transport are ILLEGAL!
They do not have permission by law to convey paying passengers from the DOT and neither do they have passenger liability insurance.
We have R50 million cover for our passengers! WHY? Because we CARE!

The choice remains yours! Choose wisely!

As you are aware, Cyclone Freddy has affected the Mozambican coastline and finally made landfall on Friday.
Unfortunately, the cyclone has caused some damage to Pomene, which will compromise your cruise experience. To ensure that you still have an enjoyable guest experience, we have made the decision to cancel landing in Pomene and call in Portuguese Island instead.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your continued support.

WARNING TO ALL OUR GUESTS!~
Last Friday, a couple landed at King Shaka International Airport to enjoy a cruise on the MSC Orchestra.
Upon entering the arrivals hall they were confronted by a taxi/uber driver who told them that they needed to go with him to the ship. They explained that they were to register at our desk by the Mugg and Bean and that they had a voucher.
The man told them not to worry and that he works for MSC and that they must go with him.
En-route to the port, he stopped and demanded money from them or he would leave them there.
They paid and were eventually dropped off in the street outside the terminal and were not allowed to enter until many hours later! Matter reported to ACSA and the SAPS.
PLEASE FOLKS!
N.B. IF YOU ARE USING OUR SHUTTLE (THE OFFICIAL MSC SHUTTLE SERVICE) DO NOT GET WAY-LAID BY THESE PEOPLE AT THE AIRPORT AND PROCEED DIRECTLY TO THE MUGG AND BEAN WHERE WE ARE LOCATED.

re: Late arrival of the MSC Orchestra and ensuing delays yesterday:

Yesterday was not a normal day. Chaotic to say the least.
MSC did advise us that we were not allowed to arrive before 14h00 which is why our first shuttles (2 coaches) left the airport at 13h00.
I understand everyone's frustration milling around the airport for 6-8 hours but we have to follow MSC's instructions. It is what it is and fully understandable under the circumstances.
To all the guests who commented on just how friendly we all were a huge big "Thank You"
To all the guests who were so understanding, a big "Thank You"
To all the guests affected by those 4 drunk women and because they had to wait at the port for their bags to arrive, a super big "Thank You" for your patience and understanding.
To all the guests who blamed us for the ship being late, for being told to amend their flights at huge costs due to check-in times, to having to wait hours and hours at the airport, all of which was actually beyond our control, we would just like to say we still love you and we trust to see you again next season, God Willing.
This season we celebrate our 30th anniversary of shuttles to cruise ships. To date, we have conveyed more than 1.3 million guests to cruise ships safely and without major incidents - a record that we are proud of. We look forward to transporting you to your next cruise. So remember, you can ask Gerald to book them for you 🙂
