On behalf of my family and team I would like to thank all of the people and teams that were involved with the rescue of our passengers and crew.

Thank you to our fellow boat owners who dropped everything in an effort to assist not just physically but in solidarity to support our Team and family through what is easily one of the most devastating few days.

Hakuna Matata Charters has always been about the joy and memories that are created. This is a family more than a company.

Today everything is shattered and tomorrow we will be back to pick up the pieces and soldier on. Every setback is a setup for a comeback and you know what *The Comeback is always stronger than the Setback*

Win a 2 hour private charter

This is our official competition video. The rules are simple and the prize is awesome. The video with the most votes will win a 2 hour private cruise valued at R7000. You will be able to take up to 60 guests on board. Remember that every video submitted we will donate R 10 to an animal rescue organization. Rules: 1) No videos of nudity or dangerous acts will be accepted 2) you need to nominate someone to walk the plank and give a reason why 3) All video submissions are to be sent to Christine on 0712532605 4) Once approved a link will be sent to you to share with your friends so they can start voting. 5) All submissions must be done by the 31st of October 2022 6) Voting will end on the 15th December 2022 and the winner will be announced on the 20th December 2022 7) You can use your own interpretation of walking the plank and it does not have to be into water.

I cannot wait to post the videos of our walk the plank with our team, even Chantell got on the plank but she definitely did not walk it. We all had an absolute blast and are still laughing. Our Team is just the Best. We are still trying to persuade 2 more of our Crew and hopefully we can get more of our skippers to Join in. We also took both our Girls out on a photo shoot. When you leave the office at the end of the day and you are smiling then you know that you are living your best life

Our Story

Public Cruises Every Saturday and Sunday as well as all public holidays starting from 10am. 1 hour Sea Cruise The deep sea public cruise is ideal for a fun filled hour for the whole family young and old. We head out to sea via the harbour channel, where you will be delighted by the view of of Durban and Moses Mabhida Stadium. Picnic baskets are permitted. Price: R 180 per adult (over 12 yrs old) Price: R 120 per child (under 12 yrs old) 90 min Sunset Sea Cruise The sunset sea cruise is ideal for couples or the whole family. Relax as we head out to sea via the harbour channel and watch the sun go down over Durban and Moses Mabhida Stadium. We set sail daily at aprox 17H00. Please Note: Booking is essential. Price: R 220 per person Price: R 140 per child 1/2 hour Harbour Cruise This is for the fainter at heart whereby we travel around our harbour and you are able to get a view of many of the ships that come in and out of our port. Price: R 80 per adult (over 12 yrs old) Price: R 50 per child (under 12 yrs old) Private Functions •Corporate Functions •Wedding •Parties • Bulls / Hens Parties •Team Building •Alternative Meetings •Product Launches All private functions are R 7,000 per hour for 60 people with a minimum of 2 hours - If you request to remain at the dock for a period before or after the cruise a docking fee of R 2,000 per hour is charged. We do allow for 20 minutes before your charter and 20 minutes after your charter for your convenience. School Specials Please Note: In order to qualify for the below rate you will need 40 scholars or more. Education Tour 30 minutes: •Price: Scholars / Teachers R 40 each 1 hour Deep Sea Cruise: •Price: Scholars / Teachers R 80 each Please Note: •All prices are inclusive of VAT. •All trips are weather permitting. •On all trips you supply all your own food and beverages.
