South Africa's national bird... the Blue Crane... a beautiful bird!!

This bird was likely chosen our national bird due to it's unique status as an almost an entirely endemic species, it's graceful beauty and it's cultural significance, particularly to the Xhosa people who call it "indwe" and honoured warriors with it's feather. ... and now you know 😉
