This festive season, the city of Durban is expecting some 1,3 million tourists over the holiday season with the international arrivals for December alone

EThekwini Mayor, Cllr Cyril Xaba, officially launched the festive season in Durban today, marking the start of a vibrant and exciting holiday period. Accompanied by Deputy Mayor Cllr Zandile Myeni, Chief Whip Cllr Sne Sishange, and Exco Councillors Mdu Nkosi and Zama Sokhabase, along with other councillors, Mayor Xaba conducted a site inspection of key attractions.

The tour included the Children’s Swimming Pool at the beachfront and the newly upgraded kids' play area at Moses Mabhida Stadium’s People’s Park. The event culminated with an address to guests at the iconic Wahooz, located at uShaka Marine World, setting the tone for a festive season filled with family-friendly activities and memorable experiences in Durban.
