Three South African Middle Stone Age sites are nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Status.

Three South African sites are currently undergoing the UNESCO World Heritage nomination process. These locations, which have provided globally significant evidence on understanding who we are today, are the Diepkloof Rock Shelter in Piketberg, Western Cape; the Pinnacle Point Site Complex in Mossel Bay, Western Cape and Sibhudu Cave in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
