Few days ago our journey too us on top of the Drakensberg mountains submitting the Mafadi Peak, on of the highest peaks in the Drakensberg. The hike takes off from Injisuthi Camp. The hike is more safer with the people who connects well and have a very good understanding of the mountain!! It can be no one else other than The Umphafa Berg Tours they are experienced guides and they looked after us for the whole duration of the hike. That’s why we came down alive in one 1️⃣ peace 😀😀

It’s not a Drakensberg Explorer without some adventure to spice the trip up!

We came back from Nambiti after enjoying a lovely breakfast and visited one of the longest Canopy Tours in Southern Africa, the Drakensberg Canopy Tour we fortunately joined a lovely group of people and our guest had so much fun!!

Nambiti Big5 Private Game Reserve.

We started our day nice and easy. Woke up enjoyed and looked around the property and had our breakfast which was really good😅😅

We then started our journey for the day making our way to Nambiti Big5 Private Game Reserve, on our way there we made a stop for some historical information and we visited the Spioenkop Battlefield. This is wherea military engagement between the British Military Forces and 2 Boer Republics, The South Africa Republic and The Orange Freestate during the campaign by the British to relieve the besieged city Ladysmith during the initial months of the Second Boer War. The battle was fought 23–24 January 1900 on the hilltop of Spioen Kop(1), about 38 km (24 mi) west-southwest of Ladysmith and resulted in a Boer victory.

From here we made our way to our accommodation in the reserve and had lunch and we then went for our afternoon game drive booked with the lodge we stayed at.
