Not quite agritourism but an opportunity for a day out in our beautiful country!

It's the last day of Open Gardens of the Eastern Free State 2023

🌸 Four beautiful private gardens in the Ficksburg area will be opening their gates to the public between 9am and 4pm today.

☕🥧🍰 Refreshments are on sale at each garden so enjoy a cup of tea/coffee/juice and a baked treat while relaxing in a beautiful setting!

🍰 Boschfontein: quiches, date fingers, cheese cake, chocolate squares, and more
🍰 Kirklington: muffins and scones
🍰 Rensburghoek: sweet and savoury snacks
🍰 Saxon Park: brownies and milk tarts

🪴Plants, cherry 🍒 trees and apple 🍎 trees will be on sale at some of the gardens.

🎨 Art on display and for sale at Boschfontein. 🦚 Peacocks at Boschfontein!

Many of the gardens in the Eastern Free State rely on rain water, borehole water, springs and fountains.
