The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the overall operations of a hospitality business, such as a hotel.

The following are some typical job responsibilities and duties

Supervising Staff: The Assistant Manager will work closely with the manager to ensure that staff are properly trained and motivated to provide exceptional customer service. They may also be responsible for scheduling staff, managing their workload, and delegating tasks.

Overseeing Operations: The Hospitality Manager will help manage the day-to-day operations of the hospitality business, including front desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage service, and any other services provided to guests.

Ensuring Customer Satisfaction: The Hospitality Manager will work to ensure that guests are satisfied with their experience and that any complaints or issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Maintaining Standards: The Assistant Manager will work to maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and customer service, ensuring that the business is in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Training and Development: The Assistant Manager will help to develop and implement training programs for staff, with a focus on improving skills and knowledge to enhance guest experiences.

Requirements : Matric with relevant qualifications They should also be able to work under pressure, multitask effectively, and provide exceptional customer service. A degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred. Driver’s license and own vehicle is essentials

Must reside in Franschhoek or surrounding area

HJN Property Management is looking for reliable housekeeping staff to join our team on a full-time basis.

You will be responsible for the general cleaning of the guesthouse and assist with breakfast each morning.

Your responsibilities will be as follows but not limited:
Clean all areas in the guesthouse, lounge, dining, and kitchen all rooms, make beds, change dirty towels and linens, and clean the bathroom and toilets.
Also, be responsible for keeping the guest areas outside clean and neat around the pool and reception area.
Assist with breakfast in the mornings.
Requirements:
Must have worked in a guesthouse before.
Minimum Grade 12 must be able to read and write.
Must be hardworking.
Physically fit
No criminal record
Must be able to cook breakfast.
Must be able to talk to guests.
You will be required to work weekends with days off during the week.

Position: Maintenance / Gardener Handyman

HJN Property Management Franschhoek are looking for an attention to detail, hardworking, vibrant and energetic Maintenance /Gardener handyman to join our team.

Responsibilities/Duties
Basic electrical work:
Installation/replacement of light bulbs/switches/plugs, pool pumps, kitchen equipment, etc
General building maintenance:
Replacement of door locks & handles, replace windowpanes, plastering/ painting/repairing ceilings etc.
Basic plumbing maintenance:
Repair leaking taps/pipes/repairing toilets and gutters etc.
General equipment and resource maintenance General utility services as required

Requirements

Basic literacy and communication skills (Afrikaans and/or English) Minimum of two (2) years' experience in general maintenance/similar position in a guesthouse or property management company
Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts (Mondays to Sundays, including public holidays, with two days off per week)
Must have a valid driver’s license and own car as you are servicing several properties
