The Tshwane Agri-tourism Project (TAP) is a tourism initiative between SixViews and Agri-tourism South Africa with the support from City of Tshwane Tourism and other stakeholders. TAP aims to provide social and economic benefits to local communities and product owners.

• Promote and market tourism products in the City of Tshwane.
• Develop tourism routes in all the regions of the City of Tshwane.

• Empower product owners and communities to collaborate and promote sustainable tourism.
• Promote expansion of the demand for local products both in the domestic and export markets
• Promote indigenous knowledge systems while generating revenue.
• Cultivate a sustainable environment through liaison and cooperation with key stakeholders within the business environment, tourism bodies, research institutions, NGOs and government.
• Educate product owners, local communities and tourists about the advantages of sustainable tourism.

The next group of people who must be mentioned are the Tswana conmunities of the Magaliesberg region. Their ancestors arived at least 500 years ago. And they buill stone-walled villages with kraals in the centre to protect their valuable cattle. They smelted
iron from rocks found in the area, and forged for themselves tools and weapons. The Tswana people who setted in the area close to where Majakaneng is today were the Bakwena ba Mogopa. and they still live in the area today.
