, greener and healthier future. The owner, JD Jordaan grew up on a farm and after being a farmer for many years he redirected his focus to the building and construction sector. JD is now a construction professional with more than 18 years’ experience in construction, er****on and fabrication sectors. He completed major projects in structural roofs including the design manufacturing and installation of steel structures for Ellispark, Pick ‘n Pay and Spar distribution centres in Johannesburg. He developed further with concrete slabs in the rib and block pre-and-post tension, and cast-in-situ concrete slabs. In Saudi Arabia he was part of a $5M project constructing Off Grid offices for a major Fuel refinery in the desert. This has included the civils, concrete works, Asphalt, building, sewage, water supply, power, security, fire protection, communications, interior design and furnishing among various other projects. Working with concrete gave him the sense of “life” in construction, where he could become involved in civil works and had the opportunity to develop the company in general building work ranging from low cost developments, ablutions and housing evolving to the international oil and gas refineries in the civil and mechanical engineering field. Noticing the current trends, JD furthered his expertise in water recycling and water harvesting, utilizing skills he obtained throughout his career and internationally. He understands that fossil fuels are not a sustainable source of energy and therefore completed a certified solar course.

Our owner has been constructing various buildings and structures in South Africa, Seychelles and Saudi Arabia for more than 18 years. Building with different materials starting from wood to brick and mortar has given us the opportunity to build our experience in all modules of construction methods where we can offer turn key projects like the off-grid construction offices or homes in a barren desert or lush environment. This includes the civils, concrete works, asphalt, building, sewage, water supply, electricity, painting, tiling, cement screed, waterproofing and roof repairs, paving, plumbing and guttering. Water recycling and harvesting (Commercial / Residential)
Part of living ‘off-the-grid’ is becoming self-reliant in every possible way. One of the ways you can achieve this goal of independence, is to catch and re-use water as much as possible. Rainwater systems are a great way of catching and storing water for any purpose whether drinking or using around your factory or home. Another way to assist the world in becoming eco-friendlier is by re-using your water used in your business or home. A grey-water system or red-water system can assist you in achieving this. Grey-water is not drinkable unless it has endured a treatment process but it is great to wash vehicles, water grass, non-edible plants or clean paving and more. We offer:

Finance is available should you require finance for Solar, Water Conservation Systems and Greenhouses. Greenfin will approve loans up to R250 000 for individuals or directors of companies which can be paid off in a maximum of 60 months if you have a clear credit record.
