Hello Toerboer family,

We’ve had a few confused travellers reach out after receiving less-than-stellar experiences with Toerbroers (yep, they’re actually called that). 𝗧𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘂𝗽: 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗢𝗘𝗥𝗕𝗢𝗘𝗥 - 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰, 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮. A quick update on the Kaalvoet oor Kompasberg // Barefoot over Compassberg campaign to raise funds for 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗖 ☠️⚽️ in Graaff-Reinet….

We’ve had an overwhelming response from local businesses as well as family and friends from across the globe 🌍 We’ve decided to up our goal to R45000 to secure more than just boots for these young boys.

We would also like to invite anyone and everyone to take up this challenge with Dawid De Wet and conquer mighty Compassberg on the 1st of May.

Now in it’s 11th year, Pink trees for Pauline’s special charity initiatives started with the wrapping of trees to create awareness and raise funds in support of cancer patients. Direct impact is ensured in that funds raised in a town, are allocated to the community members of that specific town.

Wild Coast, South Africa, September 2023

The story of our recent Wild Coast hike is one of sun, sea, beach, wind, majestic scenery, friendly locals, seafood, sore feet and dogs.

But first, I have to share possibly the best lunch spot on the planet. I reached the viewpoint above Hole in the Wall on Day 3 on my reverse route from Bulls Inn, Mpame, to Hole in the Wall, to fetch the second vehicle. Solo and with happy whales as company, I sat down to enjoy my picnic lunch in total serenity.
