On our morning walk we came across a newly hatched angulate tortoise. It was such a treat as we dont often see such little specimens. Unfortunately we didn't have a phone to capture the moment. This video is some information and sightings in nature reserve.

Hopefully this will stop the illegal fishing in our MPA's

The State is for the first time trying to prove that by illegally fishing inside a Marine Protected Area, a large-scale fishing operation is not only liable for fishing illegally but also responsible for causing a detrimental impact on the environment.

Age never bothered Hermanus conservation legend Frank Woodvine. In his 90's he was busy climbing local mountain peaks, planting trees and waging war on alien vegetation.
Inspirational passion and dedication.
Died at 92 on 25 July 2022

Thousands of sacks of pellets, known as nurdles, are believed to have fallen from a ship on 8 December.
